Leah Katz is a Berlin-based performer with extensive experience in contemporary dance, performance art, and interdisciplinary projects. Since graduating with a B.F.A. in modern dance performance from Purchase College (SUNY) in 2009, Leah has collaborated with renowned artists and choreographers including Tino Sehgal, Jefta van Dinther, Adam Linder, and Alexandra Pirici.
Her performance career spans prestigious venues and festivals worldwide, including the Haus der Kunst in Munich, MoMA in New York, Bourse de Commerce in Paris, and the Berlin Biennale. Leah has been a consistent interpreter of Tino Sehgal's work "This Variation" since 2015, performing it at institutions such as the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and Palais de Tokyo Paris.
Beyond contemporary dance, Leah has performed in opera productions at Deutsche Oper Berlin and Berliner Staatsoper. She has also worked as a movement director for fashion campaigns and runway shows, including DTS Manifest and HUGO BOSS.
In 2017, Leah was awarded the DanceWEB scholarship in Vienna, furthering her artistic development. She is also a certified yoga instructor, having completed 200 hours of Hatha and Vinyasa training through Frog Lotus Yoga in 2014.
